Assays

Isoformix offers analysis of apolipoproteins from human plasma, serum, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) using mass spectrometry-based assays*:

ApoE detects the three apoE isoforms (E2, E3, E4) and the isoform-specific glycosylation.
ApoC-I and C-II detects the native proteins and their truncated isoforms.
ApoC-III detects multiple glycoforms of the protein.
Clusterin (apoJ) detects glycoforms of the protein.
Serum Amyloid A (SAA) detects multiple protein isoforms and gene products.
ApoA-1 detects the allelic variations and post-translational modifications of the protein.

These assays were recently demonstrated and utilized in larger cohorts.
